OVERVIEW

For this project in my watercolor class we were asked to recreate or mimic a piece from an artist as close to the original as possible as practice for ourselves. I chose John Lovett because I loved his wet on wet paintings and how there weren't a ton of hard lines. It was intimidating for sure, but I was so please that after many days of hard work I pulled it off. I learned a new appreciation for that particular watercolor style.

OVERVIEW

For my final watercolor project we were able to paint anything that we wanted, but when we presented we had to include an artist statement along with a title and price that we would sell it for (all practice for an art show)  I chose to paint my father-in-laws tractor. It has been in the family for a long time and has seen better days, but he loves his tractor. I gifted him this project after it was completed.
